As CEO of Fish out of Water Design, Rebecca has built a firm 25 people strong and established herself as one of Canada’s leaders in the fields of branding, design and retail. Rebecca has a natural talent for communicating and collaborating with people. She finds the tricky intersection between client wants and consumer needs. Her thinking has shaped the agency core point-of-view – establishing Brand Coherence through Rigorous Design. This approach has allowed her to impact a wide array of clients, including Sobeys, President’s Choice Financial, Hudson’s Bay Company, Canadian Tire Corporation and Fujifilm. Under Rebecca’s oversight, Fish out of Water Design has won a multitude of awards and recognized as one of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies by Profit 500. Profit/Chatelaine has also recognized her as one of Canada’s top 100 Women Entrepreneurs.

A creative visionary, Charlene applies her approach of Rigorous Design to lead the Fish out of Water creative teams to deliver strategic, integrated and creative design solutions for clients in the areas name generation, brand identity, integrated marketing communications, advertising, store design, merchandising, package design, editorial design, and social media.
